Based on my information, Hafez’s Assad Deputy AbdulHalim Khadam and Hikmet Al Shouhabi, both incitement Assad to exile Yasser Arafat from Syria to Tunisia with humiliation.
Both claimed to Assad, that Arafat is a friend of Saddam, and he insulted Syrian Government by accusing Assad’s responsibility for Lebanon crisis
